Little did we know that day back in 1999 when we saw our new neighbors pull up in their white Volvo station wagon how profoundly our lives would be impacted. We shared so many laughs, births of children, helped each other through challenges, but most importantly we forged a friendship that was not for a fleeting moment but for a lifetime. How I will miss Curt's hugs - oh those big bear hugs! - and his bigger than life smile. I will miss his jokes, his ice cream sundaes, his favorite bottles of wine, and just the joy he brought to my life and to my family. Our hearts are broken and our sadness is profound. Melody, Emily, Nick, and Christian, Curt will forever be in our hearts and you will forever be in our lives. We love you.
