I always told everyone how lucky we were that we lived on the same block with Curt. He was so quick to help any of his neighbors, and in fact, just a couple of weeks before he died, I had been awakened by a car being sideswiped very early in the morning, and I called Curt, who went out, found the culprit car parked not far away and started getting done what needed to be done alongside the LA police. After hearing of the tradgedy that took Curt, people that didn't know him but knew me, started calling me because they remembered me talking about how wonderful he was. Even people who hadn't met him were heartbroken. He will never be forgotten and will always be missed. Cathy McGowan
